Resume:

Jian-Hua Liu,Female,Born in October, 1973, Jiangxi province, Ph.D. in Veterinary Medicine, Professor, doctoral supervisor, winner of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, the member of National Expert Committee for Control of Veterinary Drug Residue and Antimicrobial Resistance, Deputy Director of National Risk Assessment Laboratory for Antimicrobial Resistance of Animal Original Bacteria.

Prof. Liu received her bachelor's degree and Ph.D Degree in Veterinary Medicine at China Agricultural University in 2001, and furthered her postdoctoral research in the college of Veterinary Medicine at South China Agricultural University during 2001-2003. She was appointed Associate Professor of Veterinary Medicine at South China Agricultural University in 2003 and was promoted to professor in 2013.

Her current research focuses on the emerging and transfer mechanisms of antimicrobial resistance in Enterobacteriaceae, and the evolution of antimicrobial resistance and resistance plasmids. She discovered for the first time the emergence of plasmid-mediated colistin resistance gene, mcr-1. She has published over 40 peer- reviewed papers which were published in top journals, incl. Lancet Infect Dis., and received a total citation of more than 2500 times. Two of the published papers have been recommended to “F1000 prime” and two papers have been selected as ESI highly cited papers. Prof. Liu was reward with National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars (2016) and also serves as review editor for Frontier Microbiology.
