Xinlei Lian, Ph.D.

Associate professor of Basic Veterinary Medicine, National Risk Assessment Laboratory for Antimicrobial Resistance of Animal Original Bacteria; College of Veterinary Medicine, South China Agricultural University (SCAU)

Curriculum Vitae:

Education:

2012 –2017: Ph.D. Biochemistry and molecular biology, Jinan University, Guangzhou, China

2007 –2011: B.S. Biotechnology, Northwest A&F University, Yangling, China

Professional Experience:

2017 up to now: Associate professor. Department of Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology, College of Veterinary Medicine, South China Agricultural University, Guangzhou, China

Research Interest:

My work focuses on antimicrobial resistance mechanisms in animal original Salmonella. In China resistance in bacteria is getting worse and worse, but the mechanisms of antimicrobial resistant Salmonella aren’t complete. My specific interests relate to understanding the mechanism of colistin-resistant Salmonellas without colistin-resistant genes or mutations.
