Resume:

Guo-Qing Li,Male,Born in Nov 12th, 1957, Anhui province, Ph.D. in Agriculture, Professor. Executive member of Chinese Society of Veterinary Parasitology (CSVP), member of World Association for the Advancement of Veterinary Parasitology (WAAVP).

He received his Ph.D Degree in 1995 at China Agricultural University (CAU). Followed by many years of postdoctoral fellow, visiting scientist and visiting professor at CAU, Bristol University in England, Cornell University in USA, respectively. He received professor position at South China Agricultural University in 1999.

Guo-Qing Li has been doing his research in veterinary parasitology for more than thirty years. His research is currently focusing on molecular characterization and detection of zoonotic parasites such as Cryposporidium, Giardia, Cyclospora and hookworns. He has published 40 SCI papers including Veterinary Parasitology, Parasitology Research and Vaccine, totally been cited for more than 200 times. He significantly contributed to the book “Veterinary Parasitology”, and has presented his study to other scientists on international conferences for more than 20 times. 

Awards and honors

He was awarded one First Prize in Scientific and Technological Advancement by Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and two Second Prize in Scientific and Technological Advancement by the Scientific and Technological Committee of Agricultural Department, Gansu and Anhui Province, People’s Republic of China and many Travel Award by the Organizing Committee of WAAVP.
