Zhenling Zeng, Ph.D, Male,was born in Xingning City, Guangdong Province in April 196,the Secondary Professor in South China Agricultural University. 

Zhenling Zeng has been cultivated by “Thousand-Hundred-Ten” Program of Guangdong Province. He also has been a member of the State Council’s veterinary professional degree education steering committee, the Ministry of Education's College of Animal Health Professional Teaching Steering Committee and the Director of the Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology Branch of the Chinese Academy of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine Society.

Zhenling Zeng is the chairman of National Reference Laboratory of Veterinary Drug Residues, the director of National Laboratory of Safety Evaluation (Environmental Assessment) of Veterinary Drug, Key Laboratory of Veterinary Drug Development and Safety Evaluation of Guangdong Province and Guangdong University College of Veterinary Drug Innovation Engineering Technology Research Center. He is also the Vice Chairman of the Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology Branch of the Chinese Association of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine, the Animal Toxicology Branch of the Chinese Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Society and the Division of Veterinary Toxicology of the Chinese Society of Toxicology. He is a member of the first expert group on quality and safety of agricultural products, the first National Food Safety Standards Review Committee and the Fourth and Fifth Chinese Veterinary Pharmacopoeia and the Executive Committee and also a member of the second and third Ministry of Agriculture's veterinary drug residue expert committee.

He has been engaged in veterinary pharmacology and toxicology research for more than 20 years. He has conducted a series of research work on veterinary pharmacokinetics, safety evaluation of new veterinary drugs, animal-derived food safety, veterinary drug residues and bacterial resistance mechanisms. The research results have published more than 100 SCI papers, and the cumulative impact factor has exceeded 250 and has been cited more than 1,000 times. He published 10 books about monographs, textbooks and popular science. More than 20 invention patents have been authorized and 3 national veterinary drug certificates have been issued.

He has been awarded Outstanding Ph.D. of Guangdong Province, National Candidate of Thousand-Hundred-Ten” Program in Colleges and Universities of Guangdong Province, Outstanding Teacher in Nanyue, Guiding Teacher of Excellent Doctoral Dissertation in Guangdong Province and National Outstanding Dissertation Advisor on Veterinary Master Degree etc. He has won the second prize for national science and technology progress once, the first prize for scientific and technological progress at provincial and ministerial level three times and the second prize once and the third prizes three times. He also won the second prize of national teaching achievement once; the first prize of provincial teaching achievement once and the second prize once; excellent teaching material of national agricultural universities; one national excellent course, one national excellent resource sharing course, one excellent course in Guangdong Province.

July 1979~July 1984, the bachelor student, major on veterinary in the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine of South China Agricultural University. 

September 1984~September 1987, the master student, major on Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology in the Department of Veterinary Medicine of South China Agricultural University.

September 1991~June 199,the doctoral student, major on Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology in the Department of Veterinary Medicine of South China Agricultural University.

April 2002~April 2003, as a senior visiting scholar in veterinary college of University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana .

Work experience: 

Since 1987.07, he has been engaged in teaching and research on veterinary pharmacology and toxicology at the Veterinary College of South China Agricultural University.
